Exploring new skills and experience

A media client had a requirement for a role which was critical to ensuring they stayed ahead of tracking and predicting consumer trends with a particular focus on the media and digital sectors; benchmarking products and competitor offerings and developing a deep understanding of their own customer behaviours and motivations.

This was a completely new role in the organisation and could be constructed in multiple ways in terms of content, level and position in the organisation structure. The research was highly targeted focussing on the leading four/five organisations in five categories – media, digital/internet, technology, gaming & entertainment and telephony and provided the client with specific data including organisational structure and candidate career history, education and qualifications; current scope of role and scale of role including tenures, key interfaces and internal stakeholders, remuneration and geography.

The research informed level, role content and compensation as well as identifying other very relevant sectors from which to draw candidates when the client was ready to move in to the search.
